Southern Tier makes some really great craft beer. In partnership with Perry’s Ice Cream (a local NY shop) they’ve created this concoction. Flavors of malt and hops (so many hops) are present with a not unpleasant blood orange citrus tang and a sweet vanilla cream. It’s supposed to be reminiscent of a creamsicle, and it delivers. There’s a bit of an odd aftertaste, and $15 for 4 bottles is a little steep. This beer is nice on a hot day, but I couldn’t imagine drinking more than one. It’s just very, very sweet.
